The Club tries to help members with their physical well-being. We regularly hold seated yoga sessions with Mary and have now added seated aerobics to the programme. These are designed to be suitable for all of our members. Members also benefit from keeping well, health and nutritional advice provided by the NHS and local authorities.

We have a range of speakers covering subjects as varied as historical events, London, famous people, the local area, art, health and personal stories. We also arranged history themed days out visiting the RAF Museum in Hornchurch, Havering Museum, Rainham Hall and Valence House. There are regular musical attractions with different singers, a Ukelele band and bell ringing.

We hold a number of themed quizzes together with games of Countdown. We also have Hoy Bingo sessions throughout the year. Future events will include a beetle drive and games afternoon. Our horse racing afternoons and mystery auctions are also much loved by members.

We have organised a number of lunches at local pubs and cafes together with pie and mash or fish and chips in the hall at weekly meetings. We have had coach trips to Clacton, Battlesbridge and Meadowcroft Garden Centre and Brighton.
